Genesis A-Z Project - Hardware

Project History:

2020(?) Version: I got the idea for this several years ago. I don't remember where I saw it... possibly reddit... but someone was doing the same thing maybe for a different console. I think he was also trying to beat every game that he played. I thought it was a cool idea and gave it a try myself. I got played throuh Alladin, Bonanza Bros., Comix Zone, Decap Attack, and started Earthworm Jim, and that's where I fell off. The thing about all of those games is that they're games I'd have considered to be in my regular rotation, and I had beaten them all either recently or as a kid. I also didn't have any plan to write anything about the games I played.

2025 Version: I was just kinda looking for something to do and thouht that it would be fun to try this again, but with some new guidelines.

Try to play new games
Give the game an actual chance
Do a writeup of the game and post it here
Try to get through A-Z in 2025
Play the games on my actual hardware, not an emulator

So those are the things I'm aiming for at the moment. The only one that's an actual rule is that I want todo the writeup about my experience. I may play some games that I've loaded up once or twice before, or maybe I'll just feel like playing a game that I love and do that instead. The loosest rule will likely be the one about emulators. I want to play the games on my actual Sega, but sometimes it just might be easier to load something up in my emulators.
